About
My name is Tuuli Talvinen, and I am thrilled to welcome you to Suomen Tuuli—a project born out of pure passion for Northern music.
It all started back in 2017 with a blog called Northern Rock Religion. For three years, I lived and breathed this project, sharing insights into the rock scene of Northern Europe, with a special focus on Finland. But in 2020, the world came to a standstill: the pandemic and personal circumstances forced me to put the blog on hold. Following that, I shifted my focus to running the official Russian fan community for Blind Channel. It was an incredible experience, but by 2022, I realized I desperately missed having my own "baby." That is how Suomen Tuuli was born. It started out as a modest VK community, and now—finally—it has found its true home here on this website.
I truly believe that Finnish music is a whole universe that deserves far more attention. There is a unique magic, a profound honesty, and a beautiful melancholy in the sound of Finnish artists that just begs to be shared. It is this love for their stories and their drive that keeps me going every single day.
Over the years, I have built up a collection of dozens of exclusive interviews, detailed reviews, and heartfelt articles. I have talked with Blind Channel, Cyan Kicks, Antivalent, Beyond Awareness, Blue Eyed Sons, Amberian Dawn, and many other musicians—and I have no intention of stopping.
Suomen Tuuli is a place for those who truly feel the music. This project was built with deep affection, but also with immense care and respect for the artists' work. I hope that among these texts and ideas, you will find something that resonates deep within your heart.
