New Single from St. Aurora
The track marks the heaviest release in the band's discography to date, offering a fierce preview of their upcoming debut album. It delivers a raw commentary on modern social environments while setting the stage for their next chapter
The Helsinki-based alternative post-hardcore act St. Aurora has today unveiled their brand-new single, “Maggot / Crow (You Make Me Hate You).”

Currently marking the heaviest track in the band's discography, the song also serves as a precursor to their upcoming debut album.

The band’s vocalist, Tuomas Nilsson, shared that the lyrics address human behavior, particularly in environments where people can conceal their true identities.

Tuomas Nilsson describes the song as a narrative about a hyper-polarized world where interactions between people easily turn hostile, and where scavengers and parasites switch skins just to pass the time.

In an interview with the Kaaoszine portal, Tuomas Nilsson added that when he was writing the song, he was truly frightened—and still is—by how cruel an ordinary person can become when given the opportunity to hide. He noted that social environments are essentially "kill-or-be-killed" arenas, where people compete over who can deliver the most clever insult toward a thing, a product, or another human being.

Very soon, St. Aurora will hit the stage as the opening act for HOKKA and Lost Society during their upcoming co-headlining tour, “Miseria Is a State of Mind.”
