Nightwish and Floor Jansen Announce Mutual Parting of Ways
The legendary Finnish symphonic metal force has officially ended their era with the iconic frontwoman after over a decade together. While the singer shifting her full focus toward her solo career, the band confirms plans to enter the studio in 2027 for their next album
Nightwish announced that after careful consideration, they have, in mutual agreement, decided to part ways with Floor Jansen.
The band stated that this decision is necessary and important to them and their future ambitions, and thus, they will now pursue those goals in their own separate ways.
Nightwish wished Floor Jansen nothing but the very best on her artistic journey, noting that for the listeners and for the band itself, this marks the end of a truly great voyage.

Shortly after the band's announcement, Floor Jansen shared that endings create new beginnings, and even though it was a hard decision to make, she believes there is a bright musical journey ahead of her. She invited her listeners to follow along on this new path, just as they had been with her through all the great years before, and thanked them for their support through the rollercoasters of life. Floor Jansen added that her solo career will now get all of her attention, giving her upcoming album Hytress and the tour all the space to grow, and expressed hope to meet the fans on the road again in a near and happy future.
